On September 4, 2024, our Enablement Team will be hosting our 100th Learning Hour—an event that marks a significant milestone and a cause for celebration.
Rootstock’s Learning Hours are live, bi-weekly sessions designed for the registered users of our Learning Center. We often select hot topics suggested by this user community. These interactive sessions, led by our product and subject matter experts, enable customers to stay current with our latest ERP developments and best practices. If users miss a session, they don’t have to worry, as all Learning Hour sessions are recorded, so they can easily catch up at their convenience. Over the years, we’ve delved into new and advanced ERP features, provided implementation tips, presented complementary partner solutions, and much more.
Jonah Stephans, Manager of Enablement at Rootstock, emphasized the importance of customer involvement: “We want the Learning Hour topics to be customer-driven and we want sessions to be interactive.” This has been the guiding principle behind organizing our Learning Hours, and it’s also what makes the 100th session particularly special.
The Commemorative 100th Session
The inspiration for our 100th Learning Hour, entitled “Ask Me Anything,” originated from our Rooted-In Manufacturing Conference. At Rooted-In, we hosted an “Ask the Expert” room, which was met with overwhelming enthusiasm by our users who benefited from this direct line to Rootstock’s wealth of knowledge. At this conference, a customer brought an issue to a subject matter expert in the room, and within minutes, three other experts from different fields joined forces to solve the issue within minutes. “It was a hit,” said Stephans, “and we thought: what if we could extend this experience to all users?”
The idea blossomed into what is now our 100th Learning Hour—an interactive session where customers dictate the agenda by submitting topics they want to explore. “We really wanted to do something truly special and beneficial for users, so we’re taking it a step further with a two-part event,” explained Stephans.
What to Expect
This 100th session, scheduled for September 4th, will be unlike any other. The first part of the Learning Hour will feature a Q&A segment driven entirely by customer-submitted questions. The Enablement Team has been collecting questions through both an Anonymous Form and open discussions in the Rootstock Success Community, ensuring that the content is shaped by the needs and interests of our users. (Note to Rootstock users: please submit questions via either venue.)
And that’s just the beginning. The second half of the session will be dedicated to an immersive experience using Zoom breakout rooms. Each room will focus on a broad topic, ranging from automation to financials, and will be led by experts from across Rootstock’s various departments. “Whether you’re interested in diving deep into security questions or exploring shop floor management, there’s a breakout room for you,” said Stephans.

We encourage users to take advantage of the event, come prepared to pose questions and bounce ideas off our experts,” said Stephans.
