Rootstock Software® Appoints Raj Badarinath to Chief Marketing and Product Officer
SaaS Growth Executive in Both CMO and CPO Roles to Drive Cloud ERP Awareness and the Product Strategy to Benefit Manufacturers Using the Salesforce.com Ecosystem
San Ramon, CA (September 13, 2022) – Rootstock Software, a worldwide provider of cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions, today announced the appointment of Raj Badarinath to the position of Chief Marketing and Product Officer. As Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), he will drive awareness of Rootstock Cloud ERP and the value this product delivers to manufacturers, distributors, and supply chain organizations. As Chief Product Officer (CPO), he’ll assess what Rootstock customers appreciate and need in an ERP solution and translate these insights into a product strategy and roadmap.
“The position of Chief Marketing and Product Officer is a new one at our company and rather unique, and it will be instrumental to fulfill our company’s ambitions,” said David Stephans, CEO of Rootstock Software. “Raj comes to Rootstock with a track record of driving the growth of SaaS companies, with the management experience to build high-performing teams and with phenomenal industry experience in our space.”
“I’m super excited to join the team. When I learned about the amazing capabilities of Rootstock, my first reaction was ‘this has got to be one of the industry’s best kept secrets,’” said Raj Badarinath, “Meanwhile, manufacturers are seeking next-generation solutions to help transform their businesses in a post-pandemic world. My goal is to make these companies aware of Rootstock ERP. With this solution, they can leverage and multiply the strength and robust capabilities of the Salesforce Platform, and they’ll be equipped to sense and respond to supply chain disruptions and to future-proof their potential in a competitive market.”
Over the course of his 25-year career, Badarinath was in charge of developing global go-to-market strategies across marketing, product and sales. After an initial decade with established global players such as Peoplesoft/Oracle, Capgemini and Infosys, he has held leadership positions at many SaaS companies, including ArrowStream, Algonomy, Avangate, Nutanix, and others. All of these companies were at various stages of growth, from startup to IPO, and Badarinath’s guidance helped get them to their next level of success. When he’s not working, Badarinath assists emerging startups as an angel investor and board advisor. He is also a voracious reader, self-published author and a mentor to students. He has bachelor degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science (Eq.) from India and a strategic marketing diploma from the University of California at Berkeley.
In August, Gryphon Investors acquired Rootstock Software. The firm’s infusion of capital, specialized resources, and operational expertise is helping Rootstock make the necessary changes to raise awareness of its best-in-class ERP solution—chief among them is hiring Badarinath to this role, and additional investments are on the way.
